New Material - 5-6-08
We just wanted to let everyone know that these days we're writing and rehearsing new material for the next album. So far we're very pleased with the results, and in fact we're just going keep on writing while we're in the flow and while the inspiration of Summer is on the way.

"On A String" chosen for indie music compilation - 12-10-07
The Sungod Abscondo song "On A String" has been selected for Java With Javelyn Indie Music Volume 3 CD compilation. This CD is put out by X-It Rite Records, which is associated with one of Los Angeles' top Indie Music clubs.

Abscondo put up a few solo tracks - 12-5-07
Sungod Abscondo is still going strong. We've been writing new material, jamming together, and are currently planning to put on some local shows in Eastern Europe.

At the same time, Abscondo is recording an album of darker, Acoustic material quite different from the Rock sounds put out by SA. The album is far from being released, but 3 demo tracks are available for free download from the Abscondo Weblog. Enjoy!

Still getting good airplay - 12-5-07
Almost every day we're seeing Sungod Abscondo come up on radio and podcast playlists across the U.S. This is encouraging, as the band really didn't record "Imperfect People" as a set of radio singles, but as an album experience. As a result, it isn't all that clear what our "hit" is. In fact, radio and Internet broadcasters seem to all choose different songs as the "single".

Anyway, we hope you'll take a risk on the album. If you like one of the songs you heard, you'll love the album.

Album review from WMHB radio - 9-19-07
"Imperfect People" combines indie-folk and pop sounds with cool vox. The music has a retro-feel to it.... kinda retro but fresh just the same. The slower tempo'd tracks are folkish while the more upbeat tracks have a rockin'-acoustic-guitar-pop feel to them. I like the guitar-strumming, I like the vocals and I like the overall rhythm and 'feel' of the music. The CD starts off kinda mellow ("Flying Love") and then moves into a more up-tempo "Little Friend" which is a late-60s feelin' track (cool guitar solo!). Other tracks I really like: "Wicked Mama" (rockin' acoustic guitar); "Drunk on Me" (another cool guitar solo);" "Catch Reflections." Thanks SA!

Imperfect People officially released - 9-3-07
Imperfect People is finally out today, available through iTunes, CD Baby, Snocap, and other on-line outlets.

We hope that our album becomes the soundtrack to this season of watching the summer fade and the leaves turn.

Radio Release Date: September 4th - 8-23-07
Starting on September 4th, you'll start hearing Sungod Abscondo on college and non-commercial radio stations across the United States, just in time for album release.

Album complete and submitted to production - 6-24-07
The final cut of the forthcoming album "Imperfect People" is complete and has been submitted to production for album design and manufacturing.

"Imperfect People" to be released September 5th - 6-19-07
The debut album from Sungod Abscondo, "Imperfect People", has been completed in the studio and is set to be released on September 5th, 2007. The album will be available on CD and MP3 download.

"Imperfect People" consists of 12 original tracks. Our style is primarily Acoustic, conjuring up fragments of Rock, Indie, Alternative, Pop, and Americana. Each track is driven primarily by medody, each as strong as the next, yet distinctive in its own right.
